An artificial reef module for coral reef remediation (100) includes a central body (102) having an upper settling plate (104), a middle settling plate (116), and a lower settling plate (110). Extending from the central body (102) is a plurality of primary tines (122, 124, 126) which further include a plurality of secondary tines (148) extending from them. The primary tines (122, 124, 126) include the supporting tines (122), the stabilizing tines (124), and the space filling tines (126). The branching of the tines closely replicates the appearance of natural branching coral. Over time the individual artificial reef modules for coral reef remediation (100) would slowly degrade and allow the tines to break off.
|
