PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform highly accurate focusing to a moving object to be focused on in servo AF(automatic focusing) mode. SOLUTION: In the servo AF mode, a lens driving quantity computed from a defocusing quantity is compared with a predetermined specific lens driving quantity corresponding to a focusing range and when the computed lens driving quantity is larger than the defocusing quantity, the lens is driven according to the lens driving quantity; when the computed lens driving quantity becomes less than the specific driving quantity, the computed lens driving quantity is decreased at a specific rate and the lens is driven with the decreased lens driving quantity (#208 to #210). |
