PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laminated type piezoelectric ceramic, which prevents cracks of an external electrode and an insulating material (glass) since its characteristics are lowered due to the generation of cracks in glass, extending to the external electrode and dividing the external electrode into parts, in operating the laminated type piezoelectric ceramic, due to a small elongation of the glass. SOLUTION: In the laminated type piezoelectric ceramic, the insulating material not provided. When a space is provided between a piezoelectric ceramic layer and the external electrode, or the insulating material whose elongation is such that it can be accommodated within an elastic deformation, when the laminated type piezoelectric ceramic is operated, is used.
