PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrule for an optical fiber connector, a metallic ferrule that is produced by kneading/pelletizing a metallic powder (stainless steel powder and Kovar powder are superior) with a binder of a synthetic resin, making a fluid material for injection molding to form a green body, and dewaxing/ sintering it, and also to provide the manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The ferrule for an optical fiber connector is manufactured through the following steps 1-4: Step 1: making a fluid material by kneading/ pelletizing the metallic powder with the binder, Step 2: forming a green body with the fluid material by injection molding, Step 3: removing the binder by dewaxing the green body, and then sintering it to make the original form of the ferrule, Step 4: performing post-processing to the ferrule.
