PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic mail information imparting system that can give an answer for a received electronic mail by telephone contact. SOLUTION: When a mail server 13 receives an electronic mail distribution request from a sender 20 to a communication terminal 31, a mail distribution processing unit 14 distributes the electronic mail to the requested destination via a network 50. Then, the mail server 13 refers to a transfer destination database 12 to acquire a transfer destination mail address and transfer destination attributes for the distribution destination mail address, and a telephone number acquisition processing unit 14 refers to a sender database 11 to acquires a telephone number for the sender 20. A telephone number imparting processing unit 16 generates the telephone number of the sender 20 by associating with a prescribed tag, based on a description language corresponding to the acquired tranfer destination attributes, and imparts the telephone number to the electronic mail. The electronic mail imparted with the telephone number is transferred to a specified transfer destination by a mail transfer processing unit 17.
