An image input device, wherein an image fiber (12a) is formed of a large number of bundles of optical fibers (11), one end of the image fiber (12a) is installed inside a tube body (14) and covered to form multiple image input part (15a), the other end of the image fiber (12a) is attached to a fiber bundle part (16) so that a simultaneous reading can be performed by a CCD image pickup element through an optical system, a cylindrical hole (17a) is drilled in the fiber bundle part (16) orderly in lattice shape, the end part of the image fiber (12a) forming the image input part (15a) is inserted into the cylindrical holes (17a), the end face of the image fiber (12a) is arranged flush with the others, and the image input part (15a) is disposed in an omnibearing image take-in part formed in a spherical shape, radially with latitude and longitude taken into account, so that omnibearing images can be taken therein, whereby the omnibearing images without deformation can be led into an image pick-up part.
