PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating composition enabling the wet-on-wet lamination of an intermediate coating film and a coating film composed of sash black on a sash part without causing the inversion on the boundary of both coating films even on the sealer at the edge part of the sash and free from other troubles in appearance such as surface roughening and provide a method for forming the coating film. SOLUTION: The coating composition contains a polyester resin and a melamine resin. The melamine resin has a number-average molecular weight of 1,500-5,000 and the amount of the melamine resin is 1-10 wt.% based on the solid resin component of the coating composition.
