PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide new type exhaust apparatus for an engine, of which mechanism for promoting noise reduction effect and improving exhaust efficiency is a cartridge type with a variable adjustment function of remote control. SOLUTION: The exhaust apparatus is provided with an inner slide system 11. The inner slide system comprises: a slide pipe 16 in which a center partition 15 with a bypass pipe 14 is disposed at a center portion of the slide pipe to partition an inner portion into an upstream side and a downstream side so that they are disconnected with each other; an upstream opening portion 20 opening to a peripheral wall at a portion upstream of the bypass pipe 14, and a downstream opening portion 21 opening to the peripheral wall at a portion downstream of the bypass passage; and a shutter 19 for adjusting exhaust and opening/closing the downstream opening portion 21.
