SOLUTION: The refrigerator comprises a Stirling refrigerating machine 8 that comprises a heat absorption section 11 for absorbing heat from external air, a heat exchanger 12 for absorbing heat for accelerating the absorption of heat from the heat absorption section 11, a heat radiation section 9 for radiating heat to the outside, and a heat exchanger 10 for heat radiation that accelerates radiation of heat from the heat radiation section 9, and absorbs heat from the heat absorption section 11 by an inverse Stirling cycle for cooling the inside of cooling space 50, and a drain water recovery dish 15 for recovering drain water being generated by the defrosting of the inside of the cooling space 50 and the heat exchanger 12 for absorbing heat. In the refrigerator, the heat exchanger 10 for radiating heat has heat pipes 16a and 16b, one end side of the heat pips 16a and 16b is thermally connected to the heat radiation section 11, and at the same time the heat exchanger 10 for radiating heat is arranged at the upper section of the drain water recovery dish 15.
