PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method that prevents a value of image data after under color addition processing from being too large and suppresses reduction in the saturation caused by black generation under color elimination. SOLUTION: In the image processing method that conducts black generation under color elimination processing (15) to convert input image data including color component signals into output image data comprising color component signals including a black signal, the under color addition processing (16) to respectively add a signal quantity in proportion to the signal quantity of each color component whose under color is eliminated by the black generation under color elimination processing to each color component signal of the output image data subjected to the black generation under color elimination processing (15).
