PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk recorder having the broad recording power margin, and to provide an adjusting method thereof. SOLUTION: This optical disk recorder, by which the information is recorded on a land part and a groove part, is provided with a recording condition setting means for setting the recording condition such that the recording power margin becomes maximum. The recording condition setting means is composed of a means for changing the recording condition, a means for measuring the recording power margin for every changed recording condition, and a means for setting the recording condition such that the recording power margin becomes maximum, from the measurement result.
