PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for manufacturing the body and knob member of an underfloor inspection hole via aluminum die casting process, and forming the body, for example, by using an aluminum shape and making it unnecessary for the body to be screwed down to a lid plate, so that the cost is reduced. SOLUTION: A knob comprises the body 1 and the knob member 8, which is pivotally supported in the body 1 by a horizontal shaft 9 and can be projected from a long hole 7 formed on the top plate of the body 1 by rotating the knob member around the shaft 9. In the state that the part of the knob below the top plate 4 is fitted into a cutout hole 12 formed on the lid plate of the underfloor inspection hole, a flat spring is inserted in the body from its both ends so as to be caught on a pair of spring catch-stopping slips at a proper level on the outer surface of a side plate 2, which is projected further downward from the cutout hole on the bottom side of the lid plate.
