METHOD FOR OXIDIZING ORGANIC SUBSTRATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for oxidizing an organic substrate efficiently with good operability. SOLUTION: A solution containing an N-hydroxy cyclic imide of higher concentration than its feed concentration is retained in a reaction system, when the organic substrate is continuously oxidized by feeding the organic substrate along with the N-hydroxy cyclic imide, a transition metal compound and an oxygen containing gas into the reaction system.
