<p>A device and a method for ripping the gum of a conveyor belt capable of separating steel cords from each other and ripping and removing the gum around the separated steel cords efficiently, generally completely through the entire length of a specified portion, and sufficiently uniformly when the endless connection of the conveyor belt having steel cords buried therein is performed; the device for ripping the gum, comprising a ripper having a cutter of three blade structure formed by holding, in the state of the tip of the thin blade projected from the tip of the holder, a thin blade having a blade tip portion formed in an inverse chevron shape between two combination holder blades having a blade tip portion formed in an inverse chevron shape, or a ripper having a cylindrical cutting blade formed by holding a linear thin blade between semi-cylindrical two combination cutting blades so as to be projected upward and downward detachably installed in a two blade combination holder continued to the linear thin blade.</p> |
