<p>An organism authenticating apparatus (71) comprises infrared ray emitting means (97), infrared image input means (91) arranged on the side opposed to the infrared ray emitting means (97) with respect to a hand, means for confirming that the object is an organism, processing means for processing the image data inputted by the infrared image input means collating the processed image data with preregistered data, and means for outputting the result of the processing. The organism authenticating apparatus can produce a clear image of blood vessels with a small-sized construction and is provided with organism confirming means, thereby preventing incorrect authentication.</p> |
