A faucet attaching device is disclosed wherein an attaching member (A) is fixed on the peripheral edge of an attaching hole (8) in a top plate (7) from above, and a faucet main body (1) is mounted on the attaching member (A). A pedestal (9) is disposed on the peripheral edge of the attaching hole (8) in the top plate (7) from above. Washer members (16, 17) can be inserted in their folded state in the attaching hole (8). Operation of connecting members (21, 21) pulls up the washer members (16, 17) to develop them in a ring form and closely contact them with the back of the top plate (7). Fasteners (22, 22) are inserted in vertical holes (13, 13) in the pedestal (9) and fastened to the washer members (16, 17) under the top plate (7). Thereby, the washer memers (16, 17) and pedestal (9) are fixed to the top plate (7).
