1281639 Floating clarification basin GOTAVERKENS ANGTEKNISKA AB 29 Dec 1970 [21 Jan 1970] 61513/70 Heading B1D A floating clarification basin 10 comprises two rows 12, 13 of settling compartments, one of which 12 is divided into two halves by a central wall 41. Each settling compartment is separated from adjacent compartments by a weir and each row or half-row has a weir 20, 24, 25 for discharge of clarified liquid from the basin. Liquid containing solids to be removed is led via line 16 to a pair of threeway valves 19, 23 which divides the flow into two branch conduits 17, 18, the former of which is split into two branches 21, 22 feeding each of the half-rows. Separated solids are removed via lines 29, 30. The valves 19, 23 are driven by motors 37, 38 operated by sensors 31, 32, 34, 35 via circuits 33, 36, so that if the orientation of the basin becomes displaced from the horizontal, then a greater flow may be led to either of the branch conduits or branches in order to restore the basin to the horizontal.
|
