PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably maintain recording image quality by forming and measuring an electrostatic latent image for evaluation or a toner image for evaluation without decreasing image recording speed. SOLUTION: When recording paper 7 is the narrow one, an electrostatic latent image for measurement and a toner image therefor are formed in an observation area which is not equivalent to the recording paper on a photoreceptor drum 1 concurrently with image recording, and measured. When a measured value is not within a specified range, adjustment control processing is designated. |
