PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect an alternator having a permanent magnet rotor to a main turbine rotor and allow both of starting a turbine and generation of power. SOLUTION: A method for controlling a gas driven turbine and a turbine/ alternator with permanent magnet alternator having a common shaft has, a starting process for supplying power from an AC or DC external power supply to the turbine/alternator via an inverter and starting the turbine/alternator by controlling to rotatably drive the permanent magnet alternator; and an outputting process for reconstituting the inverter after the common shaft attains a rotating speed required for self-operation and outputting a voltage from the turbine/alternator as a predetermined output voltage controlled in response to a purpose of a load.
