<p>Two ends of woven fabric, particularly multi-layer dryer fabric for papermaking machines, are spliced together without the need for clips. The warp ends of strong flexible yarn are laid bare at the ends of the pieces to be joined, and folded back to form a channel through which an anchor rod passes.
