PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for accessing to a special wide area network. SOLUTION: Wireless devices like handheld PDAs make access to a wide area network resource by utilizing one or more wireless portal(s) within the range. In other words, a wireless device makes connection with a wireless portal by utilizing a short range wireless communication and the wireless portal connects a non-connected wireless device with the wide network resource.
