<p>The invention relates to an apparatus and a method for the disinfection of water for water consumption units (3) designed for health and dental care purposes. According to the invention, a cold-water flow is diverted from an existing service conduit (1), which via a main valve (12) is divided in a first part flow to a heater (7) in which the water is heated to a bactericidal temperature, as well as a second part flow to a heat exchanger (8) in which the cooling water cools the disinfected, hot water from the heater to a temperature acceptable to the tissue of man. From the heat exchanger (8), the disinfected, cooled water is fed to the consumption unit (3), and the cooling water that has served its time from the heat exchanger (8) is evacuated to a drainage (6).</p> |
