PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve processing efficiency in a transmitter and a receiver and to reduce a processing load. SOLUTION: In a step S1, update notification information is received through a receiving part or a communication controlling part. In a step S2, the received update notification information is analyzed. An analysis is performed by an XML(extensible markup language) interpreter program, etc., in order to extract update notification information contents described in an XML format. In a step S3, the receiving part or the communication controlling part is controlled in order to acquire update information corresponding to the update notification information according to analysis results to acquire the update information. In a step S4, an analyzing part analyzes the update information described in the XML format to extract update contents. In a step S5, contents stored in a contents storing part are updated on the basis of the update information according to the analysis results.
