<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the occurrence of filming by suppressing the separation of an additive from toner at the time of contact transfer. SOLUTION: As for the toner T, the inclination (the equivalent particle size of the additive/the equivalent particle size of base particle)θof an approximate lineαobtained by making the distribution of the equivalent particle size of the additive (SiO2 ) to the equivalent particle size of the base particle (C) approximate by a method of least squares is <=0.6, and the additive separated from the base particle is set to <=5% of the entire toner. Thus, the amount and the particle size of the additive (SiO2 ) adhering to the base particle (C) are restricted and the separation of the additive (SiO2 ) from the base particle (C) is reduced at a contact transfer stage by a latent image carrier and a transfer device in the midst of an image forming process. Therefore, the retention of the additive (SiO2 ) at the cleaning part of the latent image carrier is restrained, and the filming is reduced.</p> |
