PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester-based composite yarn affording multicolor effect in a single dyeing bath by piece dyeing at low cost. SOLUTION: This composite yarn is characterized by comprising homopolymer polyester yarn and copolyester yarn, wherein the copolyester is such that the acid component and/or diol therein is copolymerized at 1-10 mol% to polyethylene terephthalate.
