The rivet comprises a shaft with a first area (12) for forming the closing head , and a second and third area (14, 16). The shaft has between the first and second areas over at least a part of the circumference a radially protruding support surface (18). A thread (16) is provided at the other third end area of the shaft. The first and second areas can be separated by a collar (18).
