The dual clutch gearbox has a first gearbox part (17) with first motor clutch (3), gear input shaft (2) and group of gears, and a second gearbox part (18) with similar devices. A single shift shaft (48) is provided which can be axially displaced and rotated by means of a selection actuator (49) and a shift actuator (50). The shift shaft and shift rods (31, 34) have coupling elements (54-59) which are formed and arranged so that the shift shaft can be positively connected to a shift rod of one gearbox part without previously disengaging the previously engaged gear of the other gearbox part.
