The plane has a housing (3) with sole (1), and a plane knife projecting from a slot (12). The relative angle between sole and plane knife is adjustable. The plane knife consists of a blade (14), clamped in a blade holder (18), and the angle between holder and sole is adjustable. The blade holder is pivoted about an axis, extending in transverse direction parallel to the sole. The sole is fastened to the housing via a dove-tail joint (2).
