The rigid tube end includes an end portion comprising a shoulder with a larger diameter than the tube. The device comprises a rigid insert having a cylindrical bore between both ends thereof and including on one side a tubular portion force-fitted into the tip of the pipe opposite the crimped part of the metal sleeve portion, and on the other side a portion provided with an outer flange having a matching shape and engaging the internal portion of the shoulder.
