PURPOSE: A voice mailbox system using a PC and a control method therefor are provided to embody an inexpensive voice mailbox service by being embodied using the PC. CONSTITUTION: A PC interface unit(125) performs an interface with a PC(127). A control unit(111) controls a mode a voice mailbox system to be operated as an automatic response mode when the operation request of the automatic response mode is sensed, and transmits voice information to the PC(127) through the PC interface unit(125) when voice information is received in the automatic response mode from the outside. A data converting unit(117) converts voice information inputted from the outside into a digital signal, or converts information received from the PC(127) into an analog signal.
