Method for issuing tickets for cashless payment for goods or services, which are purchased from a central server by a networked computer. Price, etc. are determined by the server and transmitted to the customer's computer who prints out a useable ticket on which a barcode is included for at least a part of the ticket information. When a customer collects goods or uses his tickets he takes a chip card used in purchasing that contains authentication written to the card from the server that authenticates information in the ticket barcode.
