PURPOSE: A television signal processing apparatus for generating a wide dynamic image signal, a television camera and a method thereof are provided to output image signals optimally within the dynamic range without loss by distributing image signals according to brightness with optimal level. CONSTITUTION: A long time exposed video signal from a synchronization circuit(4) is applied to a video signal processing circuit(5) and a short time exposed video signal from the synchronization circuit is applied to a video signal processing circuit(6). The DSP(digital signal processor) circuit applies white balance adjustment to the received long time exposed video signal in the case of photographing indoor video image under the lighting of fluorescent light to obtain a video image of a low luminance area providing the more proper exposure level. Furthermore, the DSP circuit applies white balance adjustment to the received short time exposed video signal in the case of photographing outdoor video image under the sun ray to obtain a video image of the high luminance area providing the proper exposure level.
