The rotor/carrier surface is attached to a drive axis which is at a right angle to the direction of lift, round which rotate several rotors which also rotate round their own attachment axes. The flow over them can be regulated by means of surfaces able to be moved by control rods. They may have attachments to cause the air to rotate the rotor as the vane rotates.
