PURPOSE: A hard disc module for a modular television and a recording/reproducing method using the same are provided to simplify the recording and reproducing data of a large capacity with respect to a hard disc by using the hard disc module and improve the data recording/reproducing speed by the DMA(Direct Memory Access) technique. CONSTITUTION: A hard disc module for a modular television includes a main board(100) mounted in the modular television, an interface block(201) for transmitting and receiving data in the shape of transport stream, a memory(205) storing programs for controlling the entire component elements connected to a bus in the module, a recording/reproducing processing block(207) for storing data to the hard disc and reproducing the data stored in the hard disc, and a control block(203) for controlling the recording/reproducing part to store the data provided from the main board via the interface part to the hard disc by the programs in the recording mode, while controlling the recording/reproducing part to reproduce the data stored in the hard disc to provide to the main board via the interface in the reproducing mode. |
