The unit consists of individual packages (1) of containers (12) with opening tabs, which are connected detachable via connection webs (17). A pre-set number of containers are grouped in two areas in/on a container band (7), so that a long flat intermediate section remains. This is divided by a single cutting line (13) into opening tabs, when the finished package pairs (3,4) are cut out. The rounded areas of the closure sections (15) of the containers in a pair are partially lowered into the intermediate spaces (16) of the neighboring pair.
