The rain cover consists of a water-proof material, e.g. waxed fabric, plastic, etc. It is a loosely-cut foldable hood (5) with an elastic draw cord (6) about the opening, and at least one closure clip (9), to fasten it to the saddle frame (3). For use, the hood is drawn from its fastening position on the frame over the seat surface (1) of the saddle. When not required, the hood is store in a space inside the frame. The rain cove may have two closures, which are fastened to the seat pin, and one of which is irreversible.
