The kit has an adapter housing (35) for holding different closing systems which each have a radially aligned continuous web interacting with the inner groove (85) of the housing. The lock has a dedicated pin cylinder with perpendicular key channel for a flat key. A drive body is connected to the inner end of the cylinder core and is associated with a locking plate which can be displaced against the resetting force of a compression spring across the longitudinal axis of the cylinder core. The plate has an additional projection which when the furniture pin cylinder is fitted can be inserted in a recess of the housing. The locking plate can be controlled by a flat dismantling key which fits in the key channel so that the locking plate closes with the coupling attachment and when the projection and an associated groove are in alignment the pin cylinder can be removed from the adapter housing.
