Process for fusing glass parts comprises heating the region of the connecting sites using a burner flame powered by a combustion gas with mixed gaseous fluxing agent. The fluxing agent is added separately from the combustion gas. An Independent claim is also included for a device for carrying out the process comprising a burner for producing a burner flame with a prescribed power, a first media rail for introducing the combustion gas necessary to produce the flame power, and a second media rail for introducing the fluxing agent. Preferred Features: The fluxing agent is a boric acid ester-methanol azeotrope in the gas phase and the combustion gas is natural gas and oxygen. |
