PURPOSE: A video phone using a domestic television set and a telephone is provided to use the video phone by using a television set or a computer and a telephone without buying any separate video phone, wherein the computer is usable without turning on the computer for saving the power consumption. CONSTITUTION: A video phone using a domestic television set and a telephone includes a converter part(62) connected to a public net(30) for separating a signal transmitted from a video phone(20) into a voice signal and a video signal, a telephone(64) connected to the converter part for receiving the voice signal output from the converter part to output voice corresponding to the voice signal, and a television set(66) connected to the converter part for receiving the video signal output from the converter part to display video corresponding to the video signal.
