PURPOSE: A method for limiting the reception of a waiting call in a mobile terminal is provided to restrict the service of a waiting call received from a mobile communication system. CONSTITUTION: Executing an ordinary operation based on a traffic mode, a control part monitors whether a waiting call is received(310,312). In case that it is detected that a waiting call has been received, the control part judges whether a waiting call receiving limitation mode is set(314). If it is judged that the waiting call receiving limitation mode is set, the control part outputs a sound to indicate that the waiting call has been received. At the same time, the control part displays an associated information message through a display part(316). Then the control part monitors whether a call transfer request is received(318). In case that the call transfer request is detected, the control part executes the traffic mode dependent on the waiting call(320).
