PURPOSE: A system and a method for distributing an electronic book are provided to manufacture, sell, and distribute an electronic through a cooperated Internet electronic book store, and perform a payment through a cooperated financial paying system by supplying a program capable of reading an electronic book and a program capable of manufacturing an electronic book for a public. CONSTITUTION: An electronic book businessman system(1) supplies an application program(editor, reader) capable of manufacturing, editing, and using an electronic book without pay or at low cost. A publishing company(3) and a user(5) sell a program manufactured through an editor out of application programs being supplied through an electronic book store system(4) cooperated with the electronic book businessman system(1). The price is paid through a financial paying system(2). The electronic book businessman system(1) approves the user(5) and the publishing company(3) for downloading a program and embodies an authentication key, and the user(5) or the publishing company(3) installs the authentication key in a PC.
