HUMAN PEROXIREDOXIN II ANTISENSE SEQUENCE AND THE USE THEREOF

PURPOSE: Provided are human peroxiredoxin II(Prx II) antisense sequence and its use for cancer chemotherapy. The human peroxiredoxin II has anti-oxidase activity. CONSTITUTION: The human Prx II antisense sequence or its mutant characterized by SEQ ID NO:2 contains complementary nucleotide sequence to Prx II coding gene and suppresses the expression of Prx II. It increases the sensitivity of an anticancer agent to cancer cells, therefore it can be used as a cancer chemotherapy agent to promote an anticancer agent to kill cancer cells more effectively.
