PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network coping type video game for allowing a player to easily select a game in which one's own character participates. SOLUTION: A computer connected to a server via a network displays a virtual lobby. A player character 250 operated by using this computer and the other player character operated by using the other computer connected to the same server can go in and out of this virtual lobby. The virtual lobby has game display panels 301 to 303 having game display surfaces 301a to 303a. A game played by the player operating the other computer is displayed on the game display surfaces. When the player advances the player character into the game display surfaces, the player character can be made to participate in the game displayed there.
