PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the frictional resistance between the inside surface of a heating cylinder and a molding material. SOLUTION: A heating cylinder 11, a screw 12, a molding material supply means 105 for supplying the molding material to the cylinder 11, a molding material detecting means which is arranged to face the feed zone of the screw 12 and detects the molding material in a channel, and a supply quantity setting means 106 for setting the quantity of the molding material to be supplied by the supply means 105 corresponding to the results of detection in order to prevent the molding material from being packed 100% in the channel of the screw 12 are provided. Since the state of the molding material is made sparse in the feed zone, the frictional resistance between the inside surface of the heating cylinder 11 and the molding material can be reduced in a metering process.
