PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent decomposition of a cleaner liquid and to make an eraser of a wiper, a cleaner unit or the like slide well when written things on a handwriting surface are erased by the eraser. SOLUTION: In a writing board device wherein writing is made on the handwriting surface by using a writing implement such as a marker pen, the written things on the handwriting surface are erased by sticking the cleaner liquid 31 thereto. An antimicrobial agent preventing decomposition of the cleaner liquid and a lubricant reducing the resistance of friction between a recording medium 12 and the cleaner unit 15 are added to the cleaner liquid. As to the antimicrobial agent, a material obtained by coating a talc powder with an active component such as an organic nitrogen sulfur compound, a benzoate or the like is used. As for the lubricant, silicone oil or the like is used.
