PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device capable of shortening a sheet carrying time and miniaturizing a device size. SOLUTION: A sheet 6 stored in a sheet storing means 9 is carried to an image recording part 72 by a sheet carrying means 8 after it is sent out by a sheet feeding means 10. Then, a sheet carrying passage 11 provided between the sheet feeding means 10 and the sheet carrying means 8 is partially overlapped on the sheet feeding means 10 in the direction crossing a sheet carrying direction, in order to shorten a distance from the sheet feeding means 10 to the sheet carrying means 8.
