摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bioactive material in which a titanium oxide layer (or a film) is formed at room temperature independently of the material type of a material to be coated (substrate), the substrate shape and complexity of a surface structure, and which has a bioactivity of the titanium oxide layer left as it is. SOLUTION: The bioactive material is manufactured by soaking the material to be coated (substrate) in an aqueous solution containing a water soluble compound containing titanium and a reagent producing titanium oxide from the compound, in particular an aqueous solution containing a titanium fluorocomplex compound as the water soluble compound containing titanium, and a fluoride ion trapping agent, and by forming a titanium oxide thin film on the surface of the material to be coated (substrate). Furthermore, bioactivity of the bioactive material is improved by processing the titanium oxide thin film formed by the above-mentioned method in lukewarm water or in a solution containing calcium salt.
