PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring an antagonist or antagonist activity having high specificity of a substance to be examined to a nuclear receptor in high accuracy by using the nuclear receptor gene such as a steroidal hormone receptor and a stable expression stock of a reporter gene and provide a cell used therefor. SOLUTION: This cell is obtained by inducing a nucleic acid for reporter expression containing plural reporter gene expression units comprising a responsive element, a promoter positioned in the downstream of the responsive element, a reporter gene, positioned in the downstream of the promoter, in which transcription is regulated by the promoter into an animal host cell. In the cell, expression of the reporter gene is significantly promoted in the presence of the nuclear receptor binding to the responsive element and a ligand binding to the nuclear receptor. |
