PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To meet even cases where a pitch of grooving changes halfway on a staircase while a groove for a tread and a groove for a riser can be formed corresponding to a staircase side board of various inclined staircases. SOLUTION: A plurality of processing heads 3 are arranged in a direction parallel to a longitudinal direction of a staircase side plate 1 and a mutual clearance between the processing heads 3 can be adjusted. A grooving router 11 for a tread of the staircase and a grooving router 12 for a riser are equipped to each processing head 3, and the grooving router 11 for the tread and the grooving rooter 12 for the triser are enabled to be respectively and independently moved between a stand-by position and a processing position. A longitudinally transferring device 4 for transferring integrally a plurality of processing head 3 in the longitudinal direction of the staircase side plate 1, and a laterally transferring device 6 for transferring a work fixing table 5 for holding the staircase side plate 1 in a direction crossing at right angles a longitudinal direction of the staircase side plate 1 are provided so that grooving is carried out with the processing head 3. A control part 7 for adjusting a transfer speed with the longitudinally transferring device 4 and the laterally transferring device 6 is provided.
