PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clothes-drying stand capable of continuously adjusting its height, and being adjusted in a state of hanging a wash-line pole. SOLUTION: A length adjusting mechanism 5 of this clothes-drying stand 1 is provided with a guide plate 10 attached to an inner face of an outer pipe 3, a base 11 mounted on an inner face of an inner pipe 4, and a handle 12 projected on an external part of the outer pipe 3. The guide plate 10 is provided with a recessed saw-tooth locking part 10b. A horizontally movable slide plate 13 is fitted in the base 11, and a projecting part on its outer face is engaged with a guide groove of the guide plate 10. The slide plate 13 is energized in the locking part 10b direction of the guide groove by an elastic member, and the locking condition can be released by pressing a push rod 16 locked on the slide plate 13.
